FAQ
For us, it's all about getting the right people.
People who are entrepreneurial; taking action and creating non-traditional lives.
But who are also conscious; exploring awareness, who they are, and experiencing more fulfilling ways of life together.
By bringing these people together, we know special moments will happen.
In terms of values, we look for people who are honest, warm and driven.
We're not pretentious; we don't feel the need to over-consume or show off. In our careers or our inner journeys. Rather, we tend to not take ourselves too seriously all the time – making things happen while still living in the present.
First, submit a quick application. We just want to know why you're interested in a Themed Colive, and to see something you've created.
If you're a good fit, we'll jump on a Whatts App call to get to know each other better. If that goes well, pay your deposit and we'll see you out there(!)
To know more about what we look for, see our Community page.
Retreats. Festivals. They're so short. So transient.
We take a break from our everyday lives in dystopian hypercapitalist societies ... to reconnect to our selves, others & nature.
And for a few days everything is great.
But then... BAM... we're back in our cities, doing what we were doing before.
There has to be a better way.
The rise of remote working has given us the opportunity to create value from anywhere with wifi. So, why not immerse ourselves in a new theme, community & place... for an entire month.
That way, we can truly create a more connected way of life.
And see what changes happen to us there...
The inward themes are practices that are focussed on deepening your connection with your self.
Sometimes spiritual, sometimes physical, and often with an aspect of the philosophical too.
Authentic yoga, martial arts, meditation, psychedelics, breathwork, running, climbing and more...
It varies by theme & location.
We aim for venues with twenty to thirty people capacity.
This varies by Themed Colive.
As a guide, you'll usually do five morning sessions of your theme, with your facilitator, during the weekdays. Usually in the morning before cowork time, or in the evening.
On the weekend you'll also have a longer half-day themed session too.
There's often also workshops being run by other attendees for each other too.
And the month often ends with a full-weekend of themed exploration.
That leaves you with lots of free time to cowork. To hang-out. To reflect. To cook & eat. To dance. To explore. To, I dunno, have fun together?!
The accommodations are chosen to be near, or in, nature.
In parts of the world where we find that nature uplifting, obviously. Think white beaches, fresh mountains, ancient forests & great lakes.
The accommodations are clean & spacious. They will have shared kitchen(s) to cook in, social-spaces to hang out in (outdors & indoors), designated cowork spaces, and rooms nearby.
The rooms will depend on the venues we have for the themed colive you're coming to.
It varies from colive to colive, but in general, over a month you'll get:
Eight 60 minute guided sessions from a teacher, every week – on a meditative theme. A half-day session from your teacher too, on the weekend.
A handpicked tribe of inspiring people, from across the world.
A community facilitator who will focus on making sure things run smoothly.
Breakfast is sometimes included; this varies by Colive.
An opening dinner ceremony & party. A final full-weekend themed exploration and ending ceremony.
Your accommodation; from common spaces & kitchens, outdoor areas, a designated cowork area with desks & fast wifi, and lots more.
And your chosen room to stay in.
Food isn't included... as this is a coliving not a retreat. So we let people cook their own foods and eat on their own schedules for the month.
This allows people to eat according to their own preferences (some people intermittent fast, some are vegan, some gluten free, some don't eat nuts, some prefer no carbs etc).
There's always supermarkets nearby, and kitchens you can cook in.
We also encourage communal dinners, to create that 'gathering around food together' moment that's so fulfilling to us as human beings.
*this being said, occasionally on some colives, breakfast is included : )
If you have to cancel, please give us at least 6 weeks notice.
Then we'll be able to transfer your deposit to a different Themed Colive, depending on your choice & availability.
We accept Euros, pounds, or US dollars.
You pay a deposit to confirm your place (by card).
After, the rest is paid via bank transfer, at least 5 weeks before your Themed Colive starts.
Yes. Though you'll need to ensure the room is a double-bed private. And while prices are done on a per-person basis, we may be able to knock some off for the sharing of a room.
